Mission Statement: To provide the best quality frames available anywhere using traditional techniques.
M. Scott Gardner Bio: A Salt Lake framer since 1978, Scott was immediately concerned to see major works by West Coast and Southwest artists being framed badly or by distant framers. He knew that the bar must be raised. Since then he has studied conservation techniques and standards; he has also studied art history and frame design, and thus utilizes all levels of museum-grade frame fabrication. He is both a carver and an accomplished gilder specializing in traditional "water gilt" gold frames. His designs are best suited to American Impressionist and Arts & Crafts era designs, although he is knowledgeable of the full range from medieval to modernist.
ALL frames are fitted to the state of the art for conservation standards.
The Second Artist: The name "Second Artist" was a title given to the best or top student in a master's studio. It was the charge of the "Second Artist" to see that a painting was properly framed and well presented.
